ABOUT

ABOUT AIMEE

Aimee Reiner’s story is one of resilience, triumph, and unwavering commitment to advocacy and community service. Born in Colorado, Aimee discovered her athletic prowess early in life. After moving to California at the age of 10, she embraced the world of sports with vigor and enthusiasm. Excelling in softball, soccer, basketball, and ultimate frisbee, Aimee didn’t just play — she soared, capturing two World Jr. Frisbee Disc Championships for the under-18 category and setting a Guinness World Record for maximum time aloft at the US Open.

Her athletic talents led her to Marshall University in West Virginia, where she secured a scholarship in softball and achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts in 2002 and an MBA from the University of Redlands in 2010. However, Aimee’s journey wasn’t without its challenges. A survivor of childhood sexual abuse, she found strength in her vulnerability, coming out at 13 and becoming a beacon of hope and support for the gay youth. Her advocacy for gay rights placed her at the forefront of historic movements, including the push to include sexual orientation in corporate human resource policies.

Aimee's professional journey is as impressive as her personal one. She navigated the corporate world with tenacity, working as a District Sales Manager for Coca-Cola, where she adeptly negotiated multi-million dollar contracts for college, universities, and the healthcare industries. Her innovation and leadership continued to shine when she moved to Oregon while working for Pepsi as Key Account Manager.

Her patriotism and sense of duty were evident during her service in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1999 to 2007, where she specialized as a 55 Bravo, ammunition specialist. The discipline and camaraderie she experienced in the military only fueled her desire to give back to her community.

Like many Oregonians, tragedy touched her life when she was forced to distance her family from a longtime friend due to fentanyl abuse. This personal struggle has deepened her understanding of the addiction crisis affecting so many families.

Today, Aimee is a pillar in her community, volunteering at Sunnyside Foursquare Church and coaching youth soccer and baseball, channeling her passion for sports into mentoring the next generation.

As she campaigns for Oregon House District 39, Aimee Reiner stands as a paragon of the diverse experiences and unwavering spirit that define her. She's a champion, a survivor, an advocate, a leader, a parent, and a spouse. Her tapestry of life experiences weaves a compelling narrative of someone who not only understands the challenges facing her constituents but also embodies the relentless optimism and courage needed to tackle them head-on. With Aimee Reiner, Oregon has a candidate who is truly one of their own – ready to lead, inspire, and make a difference.

ISSUES

AIMEE ON THE ISSUES

Returning to Law & Order

Our criminal justice system needs to return to deterring crime by enforcing existing laws and prosecuting offenders. Graffiti and retail theft may be a lower priority than violent crime, but we can’t ignore it either. I want to see our neighborhoods clean and safe, and law enforcement supported and respected.

Families First, Not Bureaucrats

COVID shutdowns were an eyeopener for our family. As the mother of a special needs student and young twins, it was challenging when we were forced to administer lesson plans at home. We quickly learned that our schools were more focused on extreme political agendas than education or socialization. Our kids deserve objective, outcome-based learning that prepares them for the real world.

Advocate & Leader in Equal Rights

Since coming out at the age of 13, I’ve carried a deep-seated commitment to empowering individuals to embrace their true selves. Even during the era of "Don't ask, don't tell" in the U.S. Army Reserves, I fearlessly advocated for equal rights. I’ve spearheaded initiatives promoting diversity and understanding in the workplace and volunteered for crisis support services focused on preventing teenage suicide.

Stopping Runaway Inflation, Tolling and Tax Hikes

The last things struggling Oregonians need right now are added daily expenses. I’ll stand firm against tolling our freeways and oppose tax and fee increases.
